Discover Plaq, the new chocolate maker "bean to bar" which has just opened its doors on Rue du Nil, close to our Parisian boutique. A new address that we love and gives us a lot of pleasure. Food lovers, it is for you!
Plaq is the meeting of two chocolate lovers: Sandra Mielenhausen and Nicolas Rozier-Chabert. This couple decided to change their life and to live their passion for chocolate by launching their chocolate factory. It is accompanied by Chloé Doutre-Roussel, an expert in cocoa and fine chocolate, that the creators of Plaq traveled to Venezuela, Peru and Belize to inspire and select the best beans.
Plaq is only two ingredients: rare cocoa beans and organic cane sugar. Chocolate produced according to the "bean to bar" philosophy which means that the artisan makes chocolate directly from dried beans, unlike an artisan "chocolatier" who melts and works already with made chocolate. Roasting, dehulling, grinding, mixing... everything is done in the PLAQ boutique - 4, rue du Nil in Paris.
It is this traceability and transparency in the selection of beans that make all the difference. An eco-friendly approach but also a pure chocolate that releases all its aromas, fruity and acidity, naturally.
To the delight of food lovers, chocolate is transformed in all its forms: hot drink, tablets, ice cream and cakes ...
